Tekov lies at the northern edge of the Pannonian wine world, where southern warmth meets the cooler influence of the Western Carpathians. Around Levice and toward the historic mining landscape of Banská Štiavnica, vineyards grow over volcanic tuff and andesite associated with Sitno. Pesecká Leánka, Welschriesling, Blaufränkisch and Saint Laurent appear as white, skin-contact, sparkling, rosé and red wines shaped by this little-known Central European terrain.
