961 Lebanese Pale Ale was created as the first release in 961’s Brewmaster’s Select series, developed in collaboration with Danish brewer Anders Kissmeyer. Inspired by the English IPA style, it offers a distinctly Lebanese interpretation through the use of regional botanicals.

Golden to amber in colour, with a soft, creamy head, it opens with aromas of thyme, sage, mint, chamomile, anise and sumac. Rather than relying only on hops for bitterness and structure, the beer draws depth from these botanicals, recalling the tradition of medieval European gruit beers.

The palate is fresh, herbal and gently spiced, balanced by a rounded malt profile with a light caramel nuance. The finish is persistent, with a subtle tangy lift, making the beer expressive yet easy to drink.

A natural match for Mediterranean cuisine, especially grilled meats and herb-driven dishes.
