Tetramythos

Founded in 1999 by the Spanos brothers with winemaker Panayiotis Papagiannopoulos, on their home ground at Ano Diakopto in Aegialia. Fire destroyed the winery in 2007 and it was rebuilt within a year — a measure of the estate’s commitment. Certified organic since 1997, its north-facing vineyards climb from 650 to 1,050 metres above the Gulf of Corinth, among the highest in Greece, bush-trained and fertilised with nothing but goat manure. The wines run from Roditis Nature to amphora-aged Retsina, and the same land gives Koutsourelia olive oil.
