Guerila
Founded in 1954 by Josef Petrič at Planina in the Vipava Valley, and credited with rescuing Pinela from obscurity in 1956. His son Zmago renamed the estate Guerila in 2005 — he wanted a provocative name, and the message is plain: a rebellion on behalf of native varieties abandoned for more commercial ones. Ten hectares of south-facing slopes at 300 to 400 metres on Ponca marl, swept by the Bora wind, certified organic since 2008 and biodynamic since 2012.
